Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

Everyone Belongs

AGS has employees, customers, and partners in every part of the world. The diversity of ideas, perspectives, skills, knowledge, and cultures across our company facilitates innovation and is a key competitive advantage and one of our greatest strengths. We are committed to continuing to make diversity, equity, and inclusion part of everything we do – including providing a workforce that creates a sense of belonging and opportunities for everyone.

At AGS, we’re confident that our diverse workforce is why we continue to win awards for our employee culture and our innovation.

While we are proud of where we are, as well as our consistent progress in hiring, advancing, and retaining women and people of color, we acknowledge that there is more we can do to not only become more representative at all levels of the organization, but to provide more opportunities for women and minorities internally.

Within our C-Suite, which comprises our senior executive team, 50% of our leaders are people of color.

Global Employee Race & Ethnicity

Within our global employee base, 50% of our team members are people of color.

U.S. Ethnicity Snapshot

In the United States, approximately 40% of our employees are minorities, which is consistent with U.S. population statistics in 2020, in which 41% of the population comprises people of color, and 59% of Americans are of white ethnicity. We are striving to bring more diversity to our U.S. employee base through targeted diversity recruitment and greater development opportunities for our employees of color.

Women at AGS

When you look at our global employee population, 74% of our employees are male, which is not surprising considering the industry we are in – gaming technology and manufacturing. This industry, and the types of jobs that we offer, continues to attract more men than women. However, as more women pursue careers in Manufacturing and in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math), we will have a larger base of women candidates to recruit from and we expect to see our overall representation of women continue to increase ever year.

Diversity Task Force

AGS has a diversity, equity, and inclusion task force called I.D.E.A. Squad. I.D.E.A. is short for “Inclusion, Diversity, Equality & Acceptance.”

The role of this important task force is to empower people, inside the Company and in our communities, by respecting, embracing, and socializing what makes us different, no matter our age, gender, ethnicity, religion, disability, sexual orientation, education, and national origin.

We are focusing on four key issues:

Creating opportunities in underprivileged communities
Encouraging diversity of thought
Promoting education on the topics of racism and discrimination
Celebrating diversity across various channels

Our Mission

We foster a creative and collaborative work environment by encouraging people to speak up, by respecting different people, perspectives, and points of view, and by celebrating our uniqueness. As a result, we are focused on creating an environment, both at AGS and in our communities, where anyone, from any background, can shine.

AGS annually conducts diversity training for all our employees globally focused on diversity on the job and the changing workplace. This training focuses on how to leverage the diversity that exists within an organization; defines diversity; and dispels common myths that surround the topic of diversity. It also clearly identifies the importance of diversity within the ever-changing workplace, including the impact of globalization. We hope that by offering this type of training to educate our employees about the barriers and challenges that must be overcome to create a diversified working environment.

For our employees of color identified as future leaders/rising stars, we also offer participation in Apollo and McKinsey Accelerate’s Black Leadership Academy’s Management Accelerator. This program is designed to help equip our aspiring leaders of color with the capabilities, mindsets, behaviors, and network needed to achieve their professional aspirations — focusing on building core management and leadership capabilities.

AGS actively supports youth mentorship programs in our communities, focused on empowering, encouraging, and inspiring urban youth generally living in socially disadvantaged communities.

AGS Women Rise

With a focus on engaging, empowering, and helping our AGS women grow professionally, our AGS Women Rise program offers education, training, networking, and professional development opportunities to our women at all levels of the organization.

Through AGS Women Rise, we participate in Global Gaming Women, an organization dedicated to supporting, inspiring, and influencing the development of women in the Gaming industry. We also support the MGM Resorts Foundation’s Women’s Leadership Conference and encourage our rising stars to attend and continue their professional leadership development.

Through the University of Nevada at Las Vegas’ International Gaming Institute, AGS supports Battle Born Girls Innovate, an educational program for middle school and high school girls. Throughout the year, our AGS executives, especially our women leaders, meet with the young women to introduce AGS, demystify success in the fields of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math), and provide the teen women with a forum to engage with our women role models.

AGS Women Rise is also actively involved in the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women global movement, which is focused on ending cardiovascular disease, the leading cause of death in women, through education, research and advocacy, and healthy living programs.
